Wenzani
This has been a good week in Dundee! This week we got to meet new people and teach those we have already met. To keep ya updated,  Scott was busy this week, but he told us he would call us yesterday and tell us when we could meet with him... We were kinda doubting he would call us, but he did!  We're seeing him again this week which will be cool. Also at church this boy came up and said "I want to be baptized"! hahaha Elder Depriest and I just looked at each other and almost laughed! It's always awesome when things like that happen, I hope he's serious about it!  One of our most serious investigators is Ntombela, but it's a bit challenging because he mainly speaks Zulu and hears only a bit of English. Luckily the youth here are awesome!!  We have this guy named Sanele who is just getting ready to work on his papers and this guy will work with us ALL day EVERYDAY if we want! They're so willing to help the missionaries, which I'm really grateful for.
The sad news this week is that Elder DePriest is being transferred this week.. :/ This transfer with him went by really quick, but I'm grateful to have served with him! My new comp is Elder Rowe and he's from somewhere in England! I know him already and he's a really nice guy and I'm excited to get to work with him!
I had to give a talk this week, I surprisingly have only had to give 4 on my mission! But this one was really awesome. I got to talk about Pres. Hinkley's tribute in January's Liahona about optimism. I think it's a talk I really needed to give and every one needs to hear so I'll share some of my favorite things I learned. I love when he says something like " Let us stop seeking out the storms in life, and more fully enjoy the sunlight" We are so blessed!! Don't let the few (or many) bad things/challenges in life overshadow the good and happiness and blessings! In Pres. Hinkley's words "Keep trying. Be happy. Don't give up. Things will be okay." I love that!!   Hope you all have a good week and be happy! We know the secrets to life! As long as we do what we know to be right and keep trying everything will work out and we will be more blessed than we can ever imagine!
       Love,

       Elder Thompson
I guess when you've been out 6 months, you burn a tie.  The electricity went out so we read our scriptures "Joseph Smith style".
