Hello,
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
We'll be having our branch Christmas Party this week, so don't feel too bad for
me. They have to do it this early
because everyone goes to "the farm" for Christmas.
This week has
been INTERESTING to put it lightly, haha. It started out by us getting our
petrol card stolen so we ran out of gas. Then the K2 Elders crashed their car
so they couldn't take us so at one point we walked 13 k's through the blazing
heat and then the hardest rainstorm EVER, just to get into our area. Once we
got fuel the next day our car got a flat tire... man that was funny! But
we really tried to work hard this week because we're starting to see the fruits of our labor.
This next
Sunday should be a good one. I won't say a number, but we're expecting our
first baptisms. I love seeing the changes in the lives of those we teach. This
gospel just brings a certain happiness that isn't felt in other things. This
girl, Ntomby, who should be baptized in December was like always negative when
we first met her and it was like what the heckkkk, and now when she sees us
she's always so happy and has the biggest smile on her face, We had like 7
investigators at church this week and she was one. She answered all of the
questions in the class and was participating so well and my comp and I were so
shocked. I think once something clicks that it's true they just take off from
there. I've seen miracles for sure and I can't wait for this next week and all
of the things it will bring! My comp
turns 27 on Saturday!
Some food I ate
this week was Samp and chicken gizzards which was soo good! Have fun eating
your turkey I really am so grateful for you guys and the fam. I love and miss
you guys! Hope you have a good week all together and things. You're the best
family a boy could ask for and I love you all!
Mom I made the no bake cookies this week and they were a HIT. I would
love like a pancake recipe and also
crepes!!! Thanks
Love,
Elder Thompson
