What kind
Howzit guys- This
week went by way too fast, and we spent some time saying goodbyes to everyone!
I love the people here in Dundee too much and I think I've grown more while
I've been here than the people I've been serving. Then transfer news came on
Sunday, and Elder Rowe is going to phutiditjabha. So we were both pretty
shocked about that haha! But I know there is a great work still for me to do
here in Dundee and I'm excited to get work done with my new companion Elder
Trapnell. I will be with him starting Wednesday. So we've been saying goodbye to people for
Elder Rowe now haha! It's sad because people really love Elder Rowe and I
together and they don't want one of us to go. I feel like we've really made an
impact on the branch.
Okay so the
details of this week now! I don't know what we've been doing but the less
actives love us haha! At church we had the usual baba Bengu, Sister De Beer and
her fam, but this time because one of us was leaving we made Brother Sikakhone
come to church! He hasn't come for over 2 years now and even the
"kids" that we teach, their less-active mom came! It's been about 2
years for her as well... I think the branch is really feeding off each other
and being really good to those who haven't came in a while. Sometimes we get a bit discouraged because we
haven't been able to baptize a ton but I really am happy with the less-actives
we've been able to return and I feel like they will lead us to more
investigators! Good things are coming this transfer I can feel it ! Also we set
Dundee history this week with 99 at church!! Woot woot! When I first got here
there were usually mid 60's and now to see high 80's consistently and even 99
is truly a miracle! So I'm sad to see Elder Rowe go and I'll miss him a lot,
but I'm happy to stay in Dundee!
Love,
Elder Thompson
