Hello!
So this week was the week I left Kwa Mashu :( It was hard to leave behind everyone in the branch as well as the investigators and people that I was apart of their conversion. I'll miss them for sure! So to tell you about the week, I left on Wednesday for a 5 hour long bus ride at 5 am. Then my new comp, Elder DePriest, was at meetings all week so I went to an area called Ozisweni by New Castle until Saturday.  I got to spend some time there with Elder Grosbeck from my group, which was really cool. We worked really hard and even practically built their Branch President's house haha.
So yeah, my new companion is Elder DePriest from a small town in Colorado. He's a cowboy and loves all things that cowboys love (hunting, fishing, farming) yeah and he's awesome! He has been on his mission for a year and a half and because our zone is so big he's a zone leader and the other one is in Ozisweni. He's a really cool guy and I'm sure I'll learn a lot from him and we've gotten along great(: Dundee, my new area is a small town and I feel like I'm in Parawan, Utah or something haha. There's lots of farming and things here, which is way different from my last area. The Church (I'll send pics) is basically a house and the sacrament meeting is held in a garage type of place! There were about 60 people there on Sunday, But the church is still the same.. I also forgot my suit in Durban, so I wore Elder DePriest's to church and it's HUGE so I'm sure you'll get a good laugh out of that.
Other than that, we've already seen miracles happening. We met a ma named Nomusa and she's very powerful. She was referred to us by a member and she has told us about how she was praying to find the church and then was introduced by a member from our branch. I'm excited to really get into the area this week and find some new people to teach. One thing I learned this week from our lesson on Sunday is that "Life is to be enjoyed, not endured" -Pres.  Gordon B. Hinkley I love that, we can find blessings in our lives every single day. Don't be blinded by the world, they're there!
Love you all- have a great week!
