Kumjani,
Hello!!! So good to hear from you guys this week! I feel like I have so much to tell you, by the way no they don't celebrate Halloween here sadly.
Anyway, the food isn’t that weird here, one unusual food is, “ pap” which the best way I can describe it would be kind of like a cream of wheat consistency but a little more dry. I have lots of pictures I'll send but let me just tell you one day we were leaving our boarding and there were like 30 monkeys in the park across from us so we had to take pictures and it just so happens that my fly was down... so you've been warned.
As far as teaching goes... we are teaching like 6 people consistently but we have 2 who I really think will be baptized soon... it would be this week but we had to move it  - Nozipho, who I really like, she’s so exciting and fun and really opens up to us. She told us we changed her life” which is so amazing to me because I’m just a 19 year old kid. She also talked about how every time we come over she's just so happy and we explained that's the spirit and it will be with her once she's baptized. She has made many changes in her life!  The other one is Zinhle (yes all of the names are like this and it's so hard to pronounce them and remember them) She is a ma who I would say is 35 and is looking for a church. She really loves hearing from us and is making changes in her life as well!
The big problem we face with our investigators is they just say they believe while we're there but then they won't ever meet with us again...But I know that this gospel is true, the spirit we feel each week is so incredible and I love it.
Love,
Elder Thompson
