Etta Etta-
This week was fun
I'll have to send some pictures for sure! Some of the highlights were:
In this branch we
have a big problem with families that bring their kids each week and they have
been members for years and coming regularly, but for some reason their family
members aren't getting baptized when they turn 8 so we currently teach like 10
kids from active families each week, they're so amazing and have such strong
testimonies even for their young age- it really is inspiring! We love how
excited they are to learn about the gospel and I think there are some
non-member kids there as well, so we look forward to meeting their families!
We have been
teaching one of the branch presidency members’ kids and this week he was able
to be baptized by his father, Brother Mazibukho, which I know meant a whole lot
to him.
Other than that
just another good week, of meeting people from all over the world and all
different cultures! I'm glad to say that Elder Rowe and I will be together for
another transfer in Dundee! I was really hoping I would stay with him because I
can see the potential of this area, there is the best Branch President in the
world here, President De Klurk and there really are just such good members in
this branch that I have come to love. I also love learning from Elder Rowe each
week, he knows his scriptures really well and so I've been like a sponge just
learning so much from him. I feel like on mission, I'm just constantly learning
all kinds of things haha It's awesome! Anyway I hope ya have a good week!
Love,
Elder Thompson
